Why choose the KS 5500iEG S?

Choice of fuel: run on petrol or LPG using the model’s dual-fuel system. LPG operation has a lower available output.
Inverter output: produces a pure sine wave at 230V and 50Hz for compatible sensitive electrical equipment.
Two starting methods: electric start for convenience, with a recoil starter as an alternative.
Economy mode: reduces engine speed at light loads to help reduce fuel consumption. Follow the manual’s load limits for this mode.
Clear operating information: the display shows load, fuel level, voltage, frequency and operating hours, with indicators for oil level and overload.
Protection and monitoring: low-oil shutdown, overload protection and a reset control help you monitor and manage operation.
Easier positioning: integrated wheels and a transport handle help move the 52.5kg unit on suitable surfaces.

Power, fuel and connections

Plan your load

Use the rated output and allow for motor starting loads. Stay within socket and cable limits.

For prolonged loads, the manufacturer recommends up to 80% of rated power: 4.0kW on petrol or 3.6kW on LPG.

Check your LPG setup

An LPG hose and regulator are supplied. Check compatibility with your cylinder; an adapter may be needed.

LPG runtime varies with cylinder size, gas type and load.

Parallel connection

Connect with compatible equipment to increase available power. Confirm the second generator, cable and combined output before purchase.

What’s included

KS 5500iEG S dual-fuel inverter generator
LPG hose with pressure regulator
Parallel connection cable
Oil filling funnel
Spark-plug wrench
PH2 screwdriver
32A Commando (CEE) plug — 230V

Engine oil, petrol, an LPG cylinder, appliance leads and any cylinder adapter required for your setup are supplied separately.

Before first use

Add the recommended engine oil before starting. Read the owner’s manual, check the oil level and follow the battery connection and fuel setup instructions. The manufacturer specifies unleaded petrol with an octane rating of 90–95 and no more than 10% ethanol.

Operate outdoors, away from doors, windows and air intakes. Exhaust contains carbon monoxide. Keep the generator dry and follow the manual’s clearance, electrical protection, refuelling and maintenance requirements. IP23M does not make the generator suitable for operation in rain.
