Illuminate Your Space with REC 420W Alpha Pure-R Series All Black MC4 Solar Panels

Thinking of installing a solar panel in your home, farm, or garden office? Look no further. These solar panels are reliable, efficient, and cost-effective with an attractive payback period. Well-designed in a durable black frame, these panels are suitable for domestic, farm, garden office, and similar rooftop installations.

The REC 420W Alpha Pure-R Series All Black MC4 solar panel is a 420W monocrystalline premium PV module 80 half-cut REC heterojunction cells with lead-free, gapless technology which, thanks to its half-cell configuration, offers high power output, a better temperature coefficient, lower efficiency loss against shading, and higher resistance to mechanical loads. REC solar panels are made in Singapore and come with a 20-year product warranty and a 25-year power warranty.

Ideal for off-grid photovoltaic solar energy installations, these panels stand out for their incredible quality/price ratio and their great power in a small size.

Features:

ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY Heterojunction (HJT) Cell Technology combines the benefits of crystalline and thin-film silicon for maximum energy yield and minimal degradation over time. Gapless Cell Layout – Innovative design uses the entire panel surface to generate more power, increasing the active area and boosting power density up to 223 W/m².
SUPERIOR PERFORAMANCE: Performs well even in shaded or low-light conditions, maximizing energy production throughout the day. Thanks to N-type technology the panel is No Light-Induced Degradation (LID), ensuring you get the power you pay for from day one. Less than 2 m² in size but delivers high power, making it ideal for maximizing output from limited rooftop space.
LONG DURABILITY AND WARRANTY: Withstands up to 7000 Pa of mechanical load, offering strong protection against harsh weather. 25-Year ProTrust Warranty covers product, performance, and labour, providing peace of mind and industry-leading support. Solder-free cell connections reduce the risk of microcracks and cell damage, increasing long-term durability

Must be installed by a licensed technician or electrician.

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW GOOD IS THE REC PANEL?

REC is considered an industry leader, renowned for manufacturing some of the best solar panels globally. The company operates as a fully vertically-integrated entity, producing all components in-house, ensuring complete control over quality.

WHERE ARE REC SOLAR PANELS MADE?

Founded in Norway in 1996, REC Group, originally manufacturing in Norway and Sweden, transitioned to full automation in 2010. Currently, REC produces 26 million solar panels annually in its production plant in Singapore.

WHO MANUFACTURES REC SOLAR PANELS?

REC, headquartered in Norway with operational headquarters in Singapore, employs over 2,000 people globally. In 2021, it was acquired by Reliance New Energy Solar, a part of the Indian conglomerate, Reliance Industries, from its original parent company, China Bluestar Group.

WHAT CURRENT CLASS IS REC?

REC solar modules are classified as Class A according to the IEC 61730-2 standard. For roof installations, proper ventilation is recommended between the modules’ backsheet and the mounting surface, ensuring fire resistance.

IS REC TIER 1?

REC produces Tier 1 panels with a 20-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty. Additionally, REC panels are certified as corrosion-resistant.

WHAT ARE TIER 1 SOLAR PANELS?

Tier 1 solar panels are manufactured using the highest-quality silicon, enhancing their performance. Advanced robotic methods are employed by Tier 1 manufacturers to regulate the production process, minimizing human errors.

HOW LONG DO TIER 1 SOLAR PANELS LAST?

Tier 1 solar panels come with an industry-standard warranty of 25 years or longer. In practice, these panels often surpass this timeframe, ensuring efficiency above 80% after 25 years.

WHAT IS THE EFFICIENCY OF REC PANELS?

REC solar panels exhibit efficiency ranging from 19.1% to 22.3%. The company provides a materials and performance warranty lasting up to 25 years.

ARE HALF-CELL SOLAR PANELS BETTER?

Yes, half-cell modules are considered better as they offer higher power output and greater efficiency and reliability than their full-cell counterparts. This results in time and cost savings for installers, requiring fewer panels to generate the same power.
